Another weekend, another goal scoring spree from Robert Lewandowski. The Polish striker scored yet another hat-trick on Saturday to help his side Bayern Munich beat Eintracht Frankfurt 5-0 in the Bundesliga. This is Lewandowski's second hat-trick of the season which brought his goal tally to 10 goals in the first five league games. With 256 goals in 297 appearances for Bayern Munich, Lewandowski has become one of the worlds best goal scorers in recent years. The clinical striker became Poland's all-time leading goal-scorer in 2017, he has netted 63 goals for his country to date. At the age of 32, the Munich marksman doesn't look to be slowing down. Lewandowski came to prominence in the football world when he joined Borussia Dortmund in 2010 for a fee of £4.2 million from Lech Poznan. In his second season for the club, the striker helped his side win its first ever league and cup double. Lewandowski finished third top scorer in the 2011-12 Bundesliga season and also scored a hat-trick in the DFB-Pokal cup final win over Bayern Munich.
The following season, Lewandowski starred in his side's Champions League run where they narrowly lost in the final to Bayern Munich. The now renowned goal scorer put his name in the European history books when he scored four goals in the Champions League semi-final against Real Madrid that season. After deciding to not renew his contract with Dortmund, Lewandowski joined Bayern Munich at the start of the 2014-15 season. The Polish international finished Bundesliga top scorer in the previous season with Dortmund before joining his new club. In his first season for Munich, Lewandowski won the Bundesliga title as well as finishing joint top scorer in the league. In September 2015, the striker made the history books once again when he came on as a substitute against Wolfsburg and scored 5 goals in 9 minutes. His side would win the 2015-16 Bundesliga title and "Lewy" would also finish top scorer in the league once again.

Robert Lewandowski was now considered to be one of, if not the best, centre forward in the world of football. He would go on to help his side win the Bundesliga title the following four seasons while also finishing top scorer in the Bundesliga on each occasion. His main success came in 2020 when he helped his side win the Champions League. This was Lewandowski's first Champions League triumph and the striker also finished as top scorer in the competition with 15 goals.
